Thru July 1 – Two highly anticipated exhibitions featuring a wide array of culturally relevant artwork beginning with Visual Rhythms, which runs through July 1, and Promises of Freedom: Selections from the Arthur Primas Collection, which runs through September 2. Visual Rhythms features paintings, collages, prints, quilts and other textiles. Promises of Freedom showcases 74 of the 600 pieces from Arthur Primas’ personal collection featuring paintings, sculptures and works on paper and cover 150 years of Black culture, dating back to the Haitian Revolution. The exhibitions are free and open to the public at the California African American Museum, 600 State Drive, Exposition Park, Los Angeles. ******** May 11 - Khmer Girls in Action host their 8th annual Yellow Lounge, “Youth at the C.O.R.E.
